Please join us for an interview with Walter Lipke, a true Project Management pioneer. PMTA member Bill Dannenmaier will interview Walter Lipke, the person who invented a concept now found in the PMI and ISO standards: Earned Schedule Management (ESM). Walter’s seminal “Schedule is Different” article changed the world of project managers by extending the concepts of Earned Value to the Time Axis, allowing project managers to predict when their projects would be completed more accurately. Considering that EVM had been invented twenty years previously, Walter’s discovery plugged a big hole in the value of that technique. Walter’s deep knowledge of scheduling and project management will make for a lively and informative discussion that every project manager and certainly every project management trainer should hear.
