Project Management Standards and Certifications: Beyond the PMI – 1 hour, 1PDU!

Project and Program Managers, like good chefs, should use the recipe and techniques appropriate to the occasion. This short talk informs the audience of standards beyond the PMBOK® Guide. Tools such as IPMA, PRINCE2, BABOK, ISO 21502, & FAC-PPM should be on the shelf, ready for the appropriate occasion.

Your Presenter: Bill Dannenmaier, MBA, MA, PMP
William H (Bill) Dannenmaier is a trainer and consultant in project and risk management at BlackBox Partners. He has industry experience managing projects and programs in energy (upstream and downstream), telecommunications, Information Technology (IT), consulting, and the military.
Bill has worked with clients to establish processes specific to their industry and corporate environment. Bill has designed and taught classes on five continents using ISO, PMI, and FAI standards for projects and risk assessment. Bill contributed to PMBOK® Guide version 6 but bases his classes on the standard appropriate to the customer.
Bill has an MBA from Cornell University, an MA from the College of William and Mary, and a BS from Austin Peay State University. Bill graduated from Officer Candidate School, Surface Warfare Officer Basic, and Main Propulsion Assistant schools in the U.S. Navy. Bill is certified as an administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Instrument (MBTI) and a Project Management Professional (PMP®).
