Carrollton, TX, August 7, 2020—Project Management Training Alliance (PMTA) announces the Certified Training Provider (CTP)TM Program.

Project Management Training Alliance (PMTA), a global, non-profit, membership-based organization today announces the launch of its new Certified Training Provider (CTP) Program.

The Certified Training Provider (CTP) Program is a new initiative to recognize PMTA member organizations that have successfully completed the application process as a professional project management training provider.

PMTA President Tony Johnson had the following to say about the new organizational credential,

“When the PMTA founders envisioned what we could do to help organize and recognize the businesses in our industry that do it right and don’t settle for anything less than excellence, the CTP organizational credential was a no brainer. It is a means to recognize those that do not settle, and have a continuous improvement mentality, with a servant leadership attitude to deliver the best possible customer experience with their services and products.“

Project Management Training organizations from a small one-person shop to international training companies and universities can apply for the CTP organizational credential.

The PMTA board is setting a standard of professionalism that promotes high performance in delivering project management training and services. The goal for this program is quality first, not quantity.

The Certified Training Provider (CTP) Program criteria include the following:

  • Demonstrated expertise in project management
  • Delivered a minimum of 200 hours of project management training
  • Multiple professional references
  • Multiple former student references
  • Agreement to the PMTA ethics and professional code of conduct
  • Agreement to the non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
  • Passage of an organizational background check
  • Passage of PMTA board vote

Given the global pandemic environment in 2020, PMTA realizes that training organizations have been impacted disproportionately harder than most industries. As a result, the PMTA board decided to launch the CTP program free of charge for the rest of 2020 to project management training organizations, assuming the program criteria have been satisfied.

Upon earning the CTP organizational credential, the CTP information will be added to the PMTA website to allow consumers to search for CTPs when visiting the PMTA website for services and products. Additional new CTP features will be rolling out every sprint based on a member-driven and prioritized product backlog. These features will be updated on the PMTA website at pmtrainingalliance.org
